Unit Description

Bigfoot’s Sanctuary – Unit 13 is Lovely, large, newly-renovated three-bedroom private log home right on the water with a big private deck with a screened gazebo. This cabin has its own fire ring also. It comes with a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and dining area and it has a large bathroom with a full tub and shower.  The unit also has an electric fireplace in the bunk room – great for ambience and relaxing. The best POV Resort has to offer! 

Two bedrooms have queen-sized beds. The third bedroom has two sets of bunk beds on a sleeping porch – very popular with groups of kids and fishing buddies! Bedrooms have comfortable firm memory-foam beds and upscale bedding. Fresh linens, blankets, pillows, towels, TP & paper towels, and bathroom/kitchen soaps are provided.

PETS: No pets allowed in this unit.

POV is more than a cabin or glamping rental, it is a resort. Part of what makes POV Resort so special is our amenities included. We do have high-speed wifi throughout the main resort – so if you need to send an email or stream a movie on a rainy day, we’ve got you covered. Each cabin comes with a boat slip, and additional boat slips are available to rent.

Our base rates include more amenities than you would expect from any other Northwoods experience, including access to:

    • Access to Common Spaces/Amenities: Bathhouse, Newly-Renovated Rec Building, Coin-Operated Laundry Room, Fishhouse
    • Access to Outdoor Amenities: Beach/Docks, Basketball Court, Playground, Sand Volleyball, Horseshoes, Tetherball, Ring Toss, Trails, Wood Swings, Hammocks, Beachfront Shower
    • Use of Non-Motorized Boats (Free): First-come-first-serve for kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, paddle boards, row boats, water bikes

Our 1952 Lighthouse Vintage Camper #4 is a perfect getaway for those looking jump back in time while having all the amenities of modern glamping. 1 of only 8 known to still exist, it was built in Chicago by the Lighthouse Co. This double-decker renovated vintage camper is all glammed out in mid-century fifties decor. It affords guests much more than just another shelter in nature; the Lighthouse will help you create lifelong memories and a sense of nostalgic adventure. Enjoy nature without having to pack all of your stuff!

SPACE DESCRIPTION: The Lighthouse is outfitted upstairs with two loft queen beds in private bedrooms and has one full-sized futon in the living room space – sleeping up to 6 indoors. The glamping unit also has a dining/food prep room (no appliances/water) and a changing room (for bathroom needs guests use the bathhouse). Outdoors is home to a charcoal grill, a hammock, tiki torches, and patio furniture. A common gas grill station (tanks provided) is located in the campground). POV has wood swings and hammocks throughout the resort as well. This camper also provides basic electricity for charging wall lights, phones, laptops, fans, COPD machines, and other low-powered appliances, etc. A space heater is also provided (heaters provided in units – bring your own 1 lb propane canisters or buy them in our store – 1 canister should get you through overnight). There is parking for two vehicles with overflow parking available at the bathhouse.
