This “bring your own tent” Campsite #11 is located on the edge of our campground and is a lovely spot to easily access the rec building and beach but feel tucked away in nature. It fits two tents sleeping up to six persons total. It is outfitted with a fire ring, a charcoal grill (you don’t have to bring your own!), and picnic table. Fishing and pontoon boat rentals and romance packages are available via the checkout process.

Unit Description

This “bring your own tent” Campsite #11 is one of our larger campsites. It fits two tents sleeping up to six persons total. It is outfitted with a fire ring, a charcoal grill (you don’t have to bring your own!), and picnic table. A common gas grill station (tanks provided) is located in the campground). It has tiki torches and a hammock as well. 

There is parking available for one car at the site and one car in overflow parking at the bathhouse. A water station is available at the bathhouse. The layout of each site has been meticulously placed and groomed to utilize the natural landscape and ground cover (mulch – no more tracking mud!). This site fits *SMALL* campers 25′ in length or less – including the hitch – depending on the size of your camper you may need to park your vehicle nearby in overflow parking by the bathhouse.

PETS: No pets allowed.

POV is more than a cabin or glamping rental, it is a resort. Part of what makes POV Resort so special is our amenities included. We do have high-speed wifi throughout the main resort where the cabins and rec room are – so if you need to send an email or stream a movie on a rainy day, we’ve got you covered. Boat slips are available to rent.

Our base rates include more amenities than you would expect from any other Northwoods experience, including access to:

    • Access to Common Spaces/Amenities: Bathhouse, Newly-Renovated Rec Building, Coin-Operated Laundry Room, Fishhouse

Stay in John Dillinger’s Luxury Tent #12 – a replica of the A-frame tents used in the roaring 20’s and 30’s – and perhaps right here at the resort. It is one of our largest campsites – the tent sleeps 4 comfortably and there is space for a 2-person BYO sidecar tent (sleeping 6 total on the campsite). Stay in John Dillinger’s 1920s Luxury Tent #12 – a replica of the A-frame tents used in the roaring 20’s and 30’s – and perhaps right here at the resort. It is purported the island right off POV’s shore was owned by Al Capone’s doctor, and goons with tommy guns used to patrol its outer shores. Gangsters frequented these parts to hide out and to smuggle booze to major metros in the Prohibition era. It is a perfect getaway for wannabe gangsters on the lam and is one of the most secluded glamping site of the campgrounds. It is one of our largest campsites – the tent sleeps 4 comfortably and there is space for a 2-person BYO sidecar tent (sleeping 6 total on the campsite).

Decked out with historic photos and memorabilia of Dillinger’s time in the Northwoods in the Prohibition era, it has a view off its porch of the woods – no other campsites. Watch the trees or stars from the covered porch with the firepit aglow. With glamping all the craze, this tent affords for the luxury of real furniture without the prices. Guests get much more than just another shelter in nature; these tent will help you create lifelong memories and a sense of nostalgic adventure. Its fluid lines and natural light creates a feeling of spaciousness, warmth and relaxation.

This luxury tent is outfitted with a queen bed, a full-sized futon, and a kitchen table. Outdoors the deck is home to a charcoal grill, a hammock, tiki torches, a picnic table, and firepit. A common gas grill station (tanks provided) is located in the campground). A picnic table and firepit are also furnished. POV has wood swings and hammocks throughout the resort as well. Now included with your rental rate, POV Resort provides Power Stations for each luxury tent – these provide basic electricity for charging phones, laptops, fans, COPD machines, and other low-powered appliances, etc. Ground cover is mulch – no more tracking mud! There is parking for two vehicles with overflow parking available at the bathhouse.

A space heater is also provided (heaters provided in units – bring your own 1 lb propane canisters or buy them in our store – 1 canister should get you through overnight).

This 1965 Airstream Vintage Camper #13 is a perfect getaway for those looking jump back in time while having all the amenities of modern glamping. It is our only campsite with full electric. This icon of Americana won’t disappoint! Hop back into sixties and experience mid-century camping and decor! Perfect for a small family or friends getaway, 4 sleep in this renovated camper itself. 

SPACE DESCRIPTION: This camper is outfitted with one full bed (the futon mattresses lay down into a full bed) and two single beds – all with memory foam mattresses and luxury bedding. It also has a food prep area with a microwave and fridge (no water or stove) and a changing room (for bathroom needs guests use the bathhouse). Outdoors is home to a charcoal grill, a hammock, tiki torches, a picnic table, and a firepit. A common gas grill station (tanks provided) is located in the campground). POV has wood swings and hammocks throughout the resort as well. An electric space heater is also provided. There is parking for one vehicle with overflow parking available at the bathhouse.
