This 1950s French Winery Luxury Tent #15 is nestled in the forest, gives you a glamorous European camping feel, and is a great way to get away to the French countryside without the flight (sleeping 1-2 comfortably inside the tent). The tent is a calming dark inside for folks who like to sleep in.
After World War II, Americans discovered Europe — and Europe discovered them right back. The 1950s brought a transatlantic romance: Julia Child learned to cook in Paris, Hemingway drank wine in Burgundy, and a generation of Americans fell helplessly in love with the French countryside. This intimate luxury tent captures that postwar Francophile dream, curated with French winery décor and vintage tourism posters as part of POV Resort’s Living History Museum of Camping — America’s first. Nestled deep in the forest, dark inside for those who love to sleep in, and designed for two people who’d rather be in Provence.
Inside: a full memory foam bed with luxury bedding, an indoor picnic table, and a two-person loveseat. Outside: charcoal grill, large two-person hammock, tiki torches, picnic table, and private firepit. A POV Power Station powers phones, laptops, fans, CPAP machines, and low-draw appliances. Mulch ground cover — no mud. Propane space heater provided — bring or purchase 1 lb canisters. Parking for one vehicle; overflow at the bathhouse. Water station at the bathhouse.
NO PETS ALLOWED.

The decade Europe became the American dream — and some campers brought that aspiration to the Wisconsin Northwoods
The 1950s brought camping a new aspiration: Europe. Tourist-class airfare made France reachable for the first time, and Americans fell in love with the French countryside — wine, slow meals, afternoons with nowhere urgent to be. But most families were camping in Wisconsin, not Burgundy. What they could do was bring the spirit of it — a good bottle, a table set for two, something unhurried and beautiful. This tent is for the camper who always knew the difference between where they were and where they dreamed of being, and managed to bring both to the same Northwoods firepit.
