In the 1950s, everything changed. For the first time, most American workers had paid vacation time — and they used it. The Interstate Highway System was under construction, the travel trailer industry was booming, and heading to a Wisconsin lake for a week became the great American summer ritual. This 1953 Pathfinder is a genuine artifact of that era, curated as part of POV Resort’s Living History Museum of Camping — the first of its kind in America. You’re not just booking a vintage camper. You’re inhabiting a decade.

Inside you’ll find period-authentic 1950s décor, a queen bed, and a full futon — sleeping up to 4 guests comfortably. A food prep area is included for snacks and cooler meals (no appliances or running water inside). For bathroom needs, guests use our shared bathhouse, cleaned 2–3 times daily. Outside: charcoal grill, hammock, Edison string lights, picnic table, and a private firepit. A shared gas grill station with provided tanks is also available in the campground. Basic electricity powers lights, phone chargers, fans, CPAP machines, and low-draw appliances. A propane space heater is provided — bring or purchase 1 lb canisters (one gets you through the night). One parking spot at your site; overflow at the bathhouse.
