POV Resort is more than cabin rentals, it is a resort. Part of what makes POV so special is our amenities included. We have high-speed wifi throughout the main resort – so if you need to send an email or stream a movie on a rainy day, we’ve got you covered. Each cabin comes with a boat slip, and additional boat slips are available to rent. 

Our base rates include more amenities than you would expect from any other Northwoods experience, including access to:

    • On-Site Amenities: Grill, Picnic Table, Outdoor Lighting, Fire Pit
    • Common Spaces/Amenities: Bathhouse, Newly-Renovated Rec Building, Coin-Operated Laundry Room, Fishhouse
    • Outdoor Amenities: Beach/Docks, Basketball Court, Playground, Sand Volleyball, Horseshoes, Tetherball, Ring Toss, Trails, Wood Swings, Hammocks, Beachfront Shower
    • Use of Non-Motorized Boats (Free): First-come-first-serve for kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, paddle boards, row boats, water bikes

PET POLICY | We are only a dog-friendly resort between the end of August and mid-June (not summer) – in Cabins 1, 3, 10, and 11 during that time frame. We have a $50 per dog per stay fee. Pets must be on a leash outside cabins at all times and crated inside when left alone. NO DOGS are allowed in the campgrounds (keeping sound down) or the beach (for kids).

RATE INCREASES: POV raises rates every year based on inflation estimates by experts for the following year. This enables the resort to maintain any rise in costs of doing business (i.e. pay raises for staff, utilities, supplies, etc.). 

FALL/WINTER/SPRING CABIN PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

    • 25% deposit is required
    • Remaining 75% will be due two weeks prior to check in

3-PAYMENT SCHEDULE (For Summer Weekly Rentals):

    • 25% is due upon booking confirmation
    • 25% is due approximately 3 months before check in
    • 50% is due two weeks before check in

TAXES: 

Sales Tax – Vilas County’s Sales Tax is 5.5%

New Phelps’ Room Tax – Starting January 1, 2025 we will be required to collect a 2.5% room tax by the Town of Phelps.

ANNUAL RESERVATIONS: The only annual reservations we “hold” are summer week-long cabin reservations.
