DAMAGE PROTECTION
In lieu of a security deposit or a hold on your credit card for a damage deposit, the resort requires all guests to have a credit card on file for the event damage is incurred during your rental reservation. Your credit card information is kept confidential and secure and stored in the resort’s secure, online card processing company – Stripe. In the event property is damaged or missing, payments to your card are processed only after post-checkout of your rental. A fee will be assessed based on the extent of the damage or missing items. This damage protection also includes a $40/hour charge for a unit left in an unusually unclean state (again, documentation will be provided to the guest if this occurs). Guests will be notified via email of damage documented, providing the documentation for your records.

MISSING PAYMENTS
The securely stored credit card will also be charged if payments are missed according to the payment schedule agreed to in the POV Rental Agreement (https://povresort.com/policies/terms-conditions).

A fun way to max your time at POV Lake Resort is to get out on the lake! To find out more information about a fishing boat or pontoon boat rental at POV Resort please email us at rentals@povresort.com with information on your inquiry. POV Resort sells bait, and we have gasoline on site for your boating needs when you rent a boat. Our boat slips are reservable, first come, first serve — and they do have electric ran to them.

WATER TIME: All boat rentals (including multi-day) are from dawn until dusk for safety purposes.

To Book Multi-Day Rentals

1. 1. Select your first day/rental and select “All Day” and click the “Next”
  2. Under the reservation summary click the “ADD MORE” button — click this to add additional days.
  3. Repeat as needed – you’ll need to add each day separately to ensure the boat is reserved in the system each day.
  4. Note: there is a discounted daily rate when renting for the week. To receive this discount, book 7 days for a boat and use “WEEKBOAT” as a coupon code during your checkout process.
  5. Note: One tank of gas is included for week-long rentals.

Pontoon Boat Packages

The resort has two pontoon boats available to rent. Each boat is outfitted with a GPS fish finder, two anchors, and a fishing net. These boats are capable of towing (at slower speeds) children on tubes (available to rent as an add-on).

20′ Palm Beach Pontoon with 60HP Suzuki Engine

Comfortable 8 person capacity with 4 point fishing configuration. Completely refurbished 2005 pontoon with newer motor and new interior furniture. Great for taking a spin around the lake or for a group fishing.

18′ Montego Bay Pontoon with 50HP Suzuki Engine

Tube/Rope Rentals

Want to add a tube and rope set to your POV Boat Rental? Sure fire way for added fun on the lake! Rental fee is $30/day. Add this add-on during your check out process above.

Deluxe Fishing Boat Packages

The resort has one deluxe fishing/water sports boat, which is capable of towing children on water skis or tubes (available to rent as an add-on).

2019 MIRROCRAFT BOAT – SEATS 4

This 16′ boat is outfitted with a 70 HP outboard motor, GPS fish finder, trolling motor, fishing net, two anchors, and has a cooler.

Boat Slip Rentals

CONTRACT: When you reserve a boat online you agree to the rental terms, which can be viewed here: https://povresort.com/resort-policies/terms-conditions/

HOW TO BOOK: Reserve at the section of this webpage above.

PAYMENT: When reserving a boat online you will pay for the reservation and emailed a receipt. We require a credit card on file to book any rental for damage protection, and you may cancel up to one week in advance without incurring a no-show penalty fee.

BOAT SLIPS: All boat slips are now reservable – first come, first serve. See above for more information.

GASOLINE: A full tank of gasoline is now included in the rental price. Anything above and beyond that will be charged to the original card used for your reservation at the rate of $6/gallon and a receipt emailed to you.

BOAT RENTAL ORIENTATIONS: All boat orientation check-outs (getting set up with the boat) must be pre-scheduled between 9am and 5pm. To schedule, choose your desired time during check out above in the form. At the scheduled check out time we will meet you at the POV Office (in the gray rec building) to get you out on the water.

CHECK-INs: For check ins, we expect you to look over the boat and condition and report any issues – text 715-545-3474. Staff will check the condition of the boat the next morning, and if there are any issues with the boat you will be charged accordingly and provided photo and written documentation.

POV RENTAL CANCELLATION POLICY: POV Resort reserves the right to cancel rental agreements due to inclement or impending bad weather (high winds, storms, etc.). Rental fees will be prorated based on time used. We know that plans can go astray. However, POV Resort relies primarily on advance reservations and cancellations cannot always be filled. Refunds are not issued due to bad weather – however, you are welcome to either wait to book until the forecast is known or if you do book move your reservation to another day based on availability.
